First priority – best format

Image

  • version with front and end credits, without burnt-in subtitles
  • Frame Size: 1920x1080
  • Format | Suffix: .MP4 / .mov
  • Compressor – Codec: h264 High Profile / h265
  • Bitrate: constant 6-8 Mbps
  • Frame rate: native
  • Field dominance: progressive
  • Color space: Rec. 709

Sound

  • Audio: AAC 128-192 kbps / 48kHz or 44.1kHz, EBU R128 standard
  • Audio Channels: Stereo CH-1 (left) CH-2 (right)

Subtitles

  • separate SRT files
  • If more than one language is available, send separate SRT files for each language.

Additional remarks

Not allowed:

  • Timecode displayed on the picture
  • Your own watermark
  • Test sound signal at the beginning or at the end
  • Squeezing or any deformation of the picture: keep the native aspect ratio and letterbox or pillarbox within a 16:9 container (i.e. Scope ratio will be letterboxed. 4:3 ratio will be pillarboxed

Please avoid:

  • Long black sequence at the beginning or at the end
  • Poor compression that will create pixelation and don’t apply any streaming optimization
  • Distributor logo at the beginning

 

Second priority – high quality h264/h265 file

  • Frame rate: native
  • Field dominance: progressive

  • unencrypted DCP version with front and end credits, without burnt-in subtitles (Overlay-subtitles are allowed) 
  • Is only an encrypted DCP available, please add a DKDM for REDSPACE AG.

  • separate SRT files (if necessary we convert the overlay-subtitles into .srt-files)
  • If more than one language is available, send separate SRT files for each language.
